No GPRS!

Orange have taken down one of their transmission masts for maintenance, and the back-up mast at Todds Green has failed as a result. So there's no coverage so I can't download pics for the website until tomorrow evening :-(

All the more reason to buy a Bluetooth adaptor for the PC, ain't it ;-)

Bluetooth sucks. Use IR

Posted by: Chris (Jules Bruv) at November 19, 2003 3:58 PM

I'd have to differ in my view of Bluetooth: I've been syncing my Mac to my Ericsson T39 for something like a year, and it's been terrific. Yes, even with WiFi and microwave ovens going simultaneously. It 'just works,' to be honest. And if I had a laptop I suspect I'd use the remote control features fairly regularly.

True, I've heard several disaster stories involving Bluetooth and Windows 2000, but I thought the recent versions of XP more-or-less 'just worked' too?

Working range of 10 metres and very hackable. IR in my opinion, but that doesn't really count because I don't use either ;)
