This morning I had the opportunity to meet with Carleton College's national media consultant. This person's job is to meet with faculty and students about their interesting and quirky activities. He then sends little pointers to the news media hoping that someone will pick up a story about someone at Carleton, thereby increasing the college's national media recognition.
While I was talking to this guy, it occurred to me that he has the perfect job. He gets to fly around the country and listen to the fun and cool and quirky things that faculty and students do at colleges.
Where do I sign up?
