A Festival of Beer, amongst other things
When in Bavaria do as the Bavarians - go to Festwoche
get yourself a litre of beer and half a pig, roasted
sit at long tables and listen to the local Umpah Band churning out seventies hits.
In the land of lederhosen and dirndles the accordion is king, though it has to be said it is being challenged by the mighty Roland.
Outside the attractions continue
including the stupefying Lift A Smurf
whereby you are invited to lift any three smurfs, at random, and the number thus revealed affords you a prize qualified by the colour and value of said number. We played long into the night. [honest]
